Two operating models
VPS services may be ordered as managed or self-managed where the selected product supports both options.
Self-managed
On self-managed VPS, the customer can install and configure the operating system, applications, firewall, users, updates and backups within the purchased service limits.
Managed setup
When managed setup is selected, Hostivra can perform the initial operating-system installation and baseline server configuration. Ongoing application administration, custom software and specialist work are included only when the order explicitly says so.
Infrastructure responsibilities
Hostivra remains responsible for billing, provisioning, network/provider escalation, the underlying purchased infrastructure scope and DDoS protection.
Customer access
Customers retain responsibility for account credentials and for applications/content they deploy. Support never requires passwords, wallet seed phrases or private keys by email.
